Dutchess, S37, 1981, HIN: XFR37043M81L
Home Port: Richmond County Yacht Club Staten Island Owner: Mike & Cora Burke, Email: mburke@warwick.net Cruising Area: Long Island Sound, the Hudson river, and as far as I can go on a three week vacation with good winds. Live in Vernon, NJ 973-764-4012 Comments: Solidly built, great cruiser, very roomy below. Just bought the boat (November 2007)and its on the cradle for winter We absolutely love the boat and are very proud and excited to have purchased her. We can't wait for Spring to arrive, as this will be a whole new experience. We had previously owned a 26' MacGregor M, which we sailed on Greenwood Lake. I haven't had the Dutchess in the water yet,but from what other owners have to say I am sure my travels will be absolutely delightful. The previous owners Catherine and Terry Allworthy kept her in fantastic shape. I previously owned a 2004 Macgregor 26M located in Greenwood lake NJ at Southshore Marina, great people and lovely events, but it's only a 7 mile puddle and I can't wait to get onto the BIG POND!!!!!! Mods: Nothing major yet, a little bit of sanding on the sole and I can't believe how bright the holly polishes up. I am a hobby machinist and a certified welder, so my future mods will be a solar arch with davits, making the swimming ladder wider and longer, adding genoa tracks and interfacing gps, radar, depth and weather fax into navigation station computer. Also I plan on resurfacing the galley and head in corian. See Pictures of Dutchess |
